Carl Zeiss Victory Compact 10x25
The Carl Zeiss Victory Compact 10x25 binoculars are a brilliant choice for trekkers, hikers, climbers and outdoors sports enthusiasts alike. Boasting an asymmetrical folding joint and weighing in at a mere 0.25KG (approx), they are highly functional yet portable without being a burden to the user who is likely to be on the move frequently.
With 10x magnification, even the furthest sights can be brought close enough to be seen with great clarity and feel almost within touching distance.
Given that they're intended to be very compact and lightweight, the objective lens is only 25mm in diameter. This normally results in a pair of binoculars which wouldn't have quite the same viewing contrast and brightness as larger lens binoculars. This is because small lenses obviously do not absorb as much light as the larger ones.
Carl Zeiss lenses, however, are renowned for being super high quality, and although these binoculars are part of the lower-cost Victory range there has been little-to-no compromise in this area. You can therefor expect a better image contrast, brightness and overall quality as well as good magnification level from these binoculars over those of a similar specification from less reputable, competing manufacturers.
Carl Zeiss Victory Compact 10x25 binoculars are waterproof to 400 mbar, have a rubber armour for easy grip even in cold and wet weather, and are nitrogen filled to prevent internal condensation and fogging. They also come with a special coating on the outside of the lenses which literally allows water droplets to fall off the surface without streaking or leaving trails and reducing the need for constant wiping and cleaning whilst out in the rain or when splashed.
A custom leather case also now comes with these binoculars in the box as standard.

Our own experience as backed up by other reviews on the likes of Amazon and other online retailers is that the Carl Zeiss Victory Compact 10x25 binoculars are fantastic value for money. The brightness and contrast levels are second to none and they really succeed at their goal of being a compact, lightweight, excellent quality and rugged pair of binoculars - though this comes as no surprise as Carl Zeiss binoculars in general are some of the best around.
